2. The Word of Grace (Esther 4:1 3 14 16, NIV)
1 When Mordecai learned of all that had been done, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes, and wnet out into the city, wailing loudly and bitterly.
3 In every provice to which the edict and order of the king came, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping and wailing. Many lay in asckcloth and ashes.
14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your fathers family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to reyal position for shuch a time as this?
16 Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.
3. Meditation Contents
Mordecai's confession and Esther's confession are the culmination of Esther.
Mordecai is convinced of God's salvation.
Can Esther be used in God's work that must be done? The focus is on whether there is no.
It is because it is symbolic that Esther became queen.
4. Word application
How can I interpret God's blessings in my life?
Today Mordecai and Esther interpret Esther's succession as a protagonist in God's salvation work.
In other words, anyone can be the main character in God's salvation work.
The degree to which I feel, interpret and appreciate the grace and blessings that God has given me in my life determines this.
5. Apply Prayer
Thank you, God of love.
How grateful are you for the great and small grace that God has given to my life?
Please be the protagonist who fully knows and responds to the value of that grace and blessing.
