[Asia News = Reporter Reakkana] On October 13 at 2:19 AM KST, Lee Suhyun of South Korean sibling duo, AKMU, streamed live on the Naver platform "V LIVE" with a video titled "Hi!" With her last live stream dated back on May 13, 2021, never did she imagine what was about to unfold. The Live Chat was heavily spammed with comments posted by fans of BTS.
The day of the live stream also happened to be the birthday of one of its members, Park Jimin. As a result, comments such as: "I am waiting for Jimin live" and "hbd jimin aaa" among many were commented throughout the entire 2-hour and 7-minute stream. Many also criticized her appearance, stating: "you are ugly" and more. Within her live stream, she also mentioned her parents were watching the stream on TV as well as her friends.
Suhyun, who was well aware of the comments being left, addressed the situation as kindly as possible: "Please don't fight. You can use 반말 (casual form of phrases) or 존대말 (more formal) as long as you don't cross the line. But I haven't seen anyone who've crossed the line yet ... It's okay to mention other artists, I can just look past it."
