[아시아뉴스통신=레악카나 기자] China strongly condemned Canada on Monday after the North American country suspended its extradition treaty with Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, warning that it reserves the right to take additional action in response.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian made the remarks during a daily briefing after Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Friday the country was suspending the extradition treaty with Hong Kong due to the new national security law for the city.
Relevant comments and actions by the Canadian side have grossly interfered in China's internal affairs and seriously violated international law and the basic norms governing international relations, added Zhao.
