[아시아뉴스통신=조날드 타파난 기자] Mayor Vico Sotto announced that the Pasig City hall will operate anew with a skeletal workforce for two weeks beginning this Monday. In a Facebook post, Sotto said that the local government's skeletal workforce will start from August 3 to August 16 except health-related offices and hospitals which will remain on full operations.
The peace and order offices, City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) as well as the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) will also remain to be fully functional. On the other hand, Sotto said the city government will implement a foot traffic scheme in Pasig Mega Market, one of the biggest wet markets in Metro Manila, to maintain social distancing among vendors and market-goers.
The local government will also impose stricter health protocols to be followed, he said, the market vendors must be compliant with the minimum health safety standards to contain the local transmission of COVID-19 within the public market.
