[아시아뉴스통신=조날드 타파난 기자] The Department of Education (DepEd) reported that 22,437,559 learners have enrolled in public and private schools nationwide for the academic year 2020-2021.
Data from the department shows that as of August 3, about 20,999,914 learners have enrolled in public schools and 1,403,430 in private schools. Region 4-A (Calabarzon) logged the highest number of enrollees with 3,027,422, and the Cordillera Administrative Region, the lowest at 365,273.
The number of private school students who transferred to public schools is at 373,866. The enrollees were from kindergarten to senior high school, as well as learners with disabilities and those taking the alternative learning system.
