[아시아뉴스통신=페이 기자] Some 556 locally-stranded individuals (LSIs) from neighboring Cebu province returned home to Negros Occidental on Monday night after the moratorium on the travel of LSIs was lifted over the weekend.
The Negrenses, who journeyed from the port of Tabuelan town, arrived aboard four roll-on, roll-off vessels at the Danao Port in the northern city of Escalante between 6:15 p.m. and 10:20 p.m., records of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) showed.
Lt. Commander Jansen Benjamin, chief of PCG-Negros Occidental, said on Tuesday the Coast Guard bus and 42 service vehicles of various local government units were dispatched to Tabuelan to fetch the stranded Negrenses. A total of 148 passengers traveled aboard LCT Trinity; 68 on LCT Tabuelan; 247 on LCT St. Isidore; and 93 on LCT Sacred Heart.
