[아시아뉴스통신=페이 기자] Police operatives arrested an alleged sub-leader of Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) who led the 2009 kidnapping and beheading of an affluent Zamboangueño some 11 years ago here. Brig. Gen. Jesus Cambay Jr., Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) director, identified the suspect as Jamiul Nassalon, 41, who carries the aliases of Ustadz Amih, Abu Haris, Abu Tii, Abu Janar, and Abu Jamih.
Cambay said Nassalon was arrested through a warrant of arrest around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Caliran, Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay. Nassalon has three standing warrants of arrest for serious illegal detention with ransom, with no recommended bail; attempted murder with PHP120,000 recommended bail; and attempted murder with no recommended bail. Nassalon was tagged as the mastermind in the kidnapping and beheading of Doroteo Gonzalez on Apr.25, 2009 in Barangay Buenavista.
