거듭난 자라야 진리의 사랑을 합니다 (고전 13장)
“온전한 것이 올 때에는 부분적으로 하던 것이 폐하리라”(고전 13:10)
어떤 이가 천사의 말을 하며, 방언과 예언으로 하나님의 모든 비밀과 모든 지식을 말한다면 그가 산을 옮길 만한 모든 믿음이 있고 자기의 전 재산을 구제에 드렸다면 또한 그는 남을 구하려고 자기 몸을 불사르게 내어 주었다면 그런 사람은 기독교인들의 영웅이 되었을 겁니다.
그러나 하나님은 그런 사람이라도 “사랑이 없으면 아무것도 아니다”라고 말씀하십니다. 하나님께서 언급하시는 사랑은 인간들이 생각하는 사랑과는 다른 사랑입니다.
사람의 사랑은 육신적이거나 희생적이거나 물질적인 사랑입니다. 그러나 하나님의 사랑은 영적인 사랑이며 구원의 사랑입니다.
하나님의 사랑은 진리의 사랑이며(살후 2:10) 복음의 사랑입니다. 진리의 복음을 전해서 죄인들이 의인으로 거듭나게 하는 사랑보다 더 큰 사랑은 없습니다.
"하나님의 사랑이 우리에게 이렇게 나타난바 되었으니 하나님이 자기의 독생자를 세상에 보내심은 저로 말미암아 우리를 살리려 하심이니라 사랑은 여기 있으니 우리가 하나님을 사랑한 것이 아니요 오직 하나님이 우리를 사랑하사 우리 죄를 위하여 화목제로 그 아들을 보내셨음이니라" (요일 4:9-10).
거듭나지 못한 기독죄인들은 하나님의 사랑을 알지도 못하고 행할 수도 없습니다. 하나님의 사랑은 진리의 원형복음을 믿어서 거듭난 의인들만 압니다.
"그런즉 믿음, 소망, 사랑, 이 세 가지는 항상 있을 것인데 그 중에 제일은 사랑이라"(고전 13:13). 아멘!
Only the born again can practice the love of the truth (1 Cor 13)
“But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away” (1 Cor13:10).
If someone speaks with angelic tongues and prophecies all the mysteries and all knowledge of God; If he had all the faith to move mountains, and bestow all his goods to feed the poor: and if he gave himself burned up to save others;
Such a person would have become a Christian hero.
However, God says that even such a person is “nothing without love.”
The love that God refers to is a different kind of love humans assert.
Human love is fleshly, sacrificial, or material.
But God’s love is a spiritual love and a love of salvation.
God’s love is the love of the truth (2 Thes 2:10) and the love of the Gospel.
Nothing is greater than the love that enables sinners to be born again as the righteous by preaching the Gospel of the truth.
“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:9-10).
Christian sinners who are not born again do not know the love of God and cannot practice it.
God’s love is known only to the righteous who have been born again by believing in the Original Gospel.
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Cor 13:13).
