[Asia News = Reporter Reakkana] MANILA: Manila Ocean Park reopened its doors to the public on Thursday amid a lower alert level in Metro Manila. Only fully vaccinated individuals ages 18 to 65 years old, however, are allowed to visit the marine theme park, PH Inquirer reported.

Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna led the ceremonial opening of the park after its temporary closure because of the COVID-19 pandemic. “It is very important for our businesses to open because of how much the pandemic is affecting us.,” said Lacuna in a statement. "Because of this, some of our compatriots will be able to return to work which will result in a positive impact on our economy", she added.

Manila Ocean Park features the first oceanarium in the country in addition to other attractions such as Trails to Antarctica, which includes the Penguin Exhibit, the world of creepy crawlies, toy museums, and more. The park will be open from Thursday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
