[Asia News = Reporter Reakkana] MBC’s upcoming girl group audition program “My Teenage Girl” confirmed their cast of “teachers” who will guide the 83 student participants in pursuing their dreams. Ock Joo Hyun, Girls’ Generation’s Yuri, dancer Aiki, and (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon will each head a class of students in reaching their full potential as girl group members.
As experienced performing artists, the four will act as producers for the freshman class of 18 students, the sophomore class of 23 students, the junior class of 20 students, and the senior class of 22 students. Ock Joo Hyun is not only an established vocalist in the field of musical theater with her starring roles in “Sweeney Todd,” “Rebecca,” “Wicked,” and more, but also was once a member of Korea’s most beloved girl group Fin. K.L. Yuri will put her longstanding experience as a member of the representative group Girls’ Generation to use by becoming a dependable senior and mentor to the girls.
Renowned dancer Aiki will be joining the team of established female mentors following her role in the prequel of the show, where she showed her stern yet warm sides as a teacher. (G)I-DLE’s leader Jeon Soyeon will be representing the fourth generation of girl groups on the show. Recognized for her producing skills. “My Teenage Girl” will premiere on November 28.
