할례를 받은 자만 유월절 양을 먹을 수 있다 (출 12:1-11, 43-48)
“너희와 함께 거하는 타국인이 여호와의 유월절을 지키고자 하거든 그 모든 남자는 할례를 받은 후에야 가까이하여 지킬찌니 곧 그는 본토인과 같이 될 것이나 할례 받지 못한 자는 먹지 못할 것이니라”(출 12:48).
구약의 모든 사건들과 기사들은 하나님의 구원에 관한 계시입니다.
이스라엘 백성이 아빕월(정월) 14일 해거름에 치뤘던 유월절 예식도 유월절 어린양으로 오신 예수님(고전 5:7)을 통한 영생의 구원을 계시합니다.
유월절의 규례는 이렇습니다.
1. 양을 잡아서 그 피를 문 설주와 인방에 바릅니다.
2. 양을 불에 구워 먹어야 합니다.
3. 반드시 할례를 받은 자만 유월절 양을 먹어야 했습니다.
할례는 믿음으로 얻은 하나님의 의를 육체에 둔 표식입니다.
“저가 할례의 표를 받은 것은 무할례시에 믿음으로 된 의를 인친 것이니”(롬 4:11)라는 말씀대로 아브라함은 대속의 제사에 계시된 하나님의 구원을 믿어서 거듭난 후에 하나님의 명령대로 할례를 받았습니다.
할례는 마음의 죄가 뚝 끊어져 나간 은혜를 기념하는 표입니다.
우리의 죄가 뚝 끊어져 나간 역사는 예수님께서 인류의 대표자인 세례 요한에게 안수의 형식으로 받은 세례로 세상의 모든 죄를 담당하신 하나님의 능력입니다.
마음에 할례를 받은 자, 즉 거듭난 자라야 유월절 규례에 참여할 수 있습니다.
유월절 어린양의 살은 반드시 불에 구워 먹어야 합니다.
성령의 감동으로만 우리는 예수님의 살(세례)을 먹고 피를 마실 수 있습니다.
유월절 양으로 오신 예수님의 살을 먹고 예수님의 피를 마시는 자는 영생을 얻습니다(요 6:54).
Only those who have been circumcised can eat the Passover lamb (Ex 12:1-11, 43-48)
"And when a stranger dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as a native of the land. For no uncircumcised person shall eat it" (Ex 12:48).
All the events and stories of the Old Testament are revelations of God's salvation.
The Passover ceremony, which the Israelites held at sunset on the 14th day of Abib (the first month), also reveals the salvation of eternal life through Jesus who came as the Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7).
The ordinance of the Passover is
1. They should put the blood of the Passover lamb on the posts and lintels of the door;
2. The lamb must be roasted to be eaten,
3. Only the circumcised shall eat the Passover lamb.
Circumcision is the sign of God's righteousness engraved on the flesh of the born again.
"And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised" (Rom 4:11).
Abraham was circumcised according to God's command after he was born again by believing in God's salvation revealed in the burnt offering.
Circumcision is a mark to commemorate the grace that the sins of the heart have been cut off.
The remission of our sins is the power of God accomplished by Jesus' baptism in the form of the laying on of hands by John the Baptist, the representative of humankind.
Only the circumcised in their hearts, the born again, can participate in the Passover feast.
They must roast the flesh of the lamb with fire to eat.
Only by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit can we eat the flesh (the baptism) of Jesus and drink His blood.
Those who eat the flesh of Jesus who came as the Passover Lamb and drink His blood have eternal life(John 6:54).
